Use of Physical Restraint and Isolation with Special Education and Section 504 Students
The district strives to maintain a safe and beneficial learning environment for all students.
- If such restraint or isolation is used,
school staff will promptly notify the principal or principal’s designee, who will verbally notify
the parent/guardian of the affected student within 24 hours and will send written notification to
the parent/guardian of the affected student within five (5) business days of the use of restraint or
isolation.
- The principal or principal’s designee will review the incident with the staff member
involved and the student and the parent/guardian.
